Recorded Oct 1979 - March 1980 at Crescent Studios in Bath, England.

The CD version of 'Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime' includes some previously unreleased lyrics: 'Everyday / So confused inside / Everyday / You know we live such [life?] / I feel so helpless / When will we see the light'. This version was obviously used by mistake, instead of the original version.

Recorded Dec 1980 - Feb 1981 at Crescent Studios in Bath, England. The different CD version of 'Nowhere To Run' was surely used by mistake. It sounds a bit rougher and possibly it was recorded as a demo.

25 Sep 1981 7" The Korgis: Don't Say That It's Over

    Don't Say That It's Over 2.47 [single remix]/Drawn and Quartered 3.17 (TREB 142)
This single remix has a guitar solo instead of the synth solo on the LP version. Thanks to Dave Wilson for this information.

  11. It's No Good Unless You Love Me 3.22
  12. Rovers Return 2.31 (Rialto, KORG/CKORG-1)
The cover is the same as the 'If I Had You' single: a painted colour picture (in a typical cute Korgis style) of a man and a woman sharing an apple. The LP is divided into 'Slow Side' (side A) and 'Fast Side' (side B). Thanks to Gerry Prewett and Simon Bee for this information.

late Nov/early Dec 1983 semi-live performance in Bath

Info from Tim Hawkins: "The Korgis appeared live at the Theatre Royal in Bath in late November or very early December 1983. The live musicians comprised James on guitar and occasional keyboards (and incidentally a yodel solo spot in authentic alpine costume) plus his then girl-friend (I believe), Maggie Stewart, on keyboards and, er, dancing. There were backing tapes. It was a free entry with voluntary contributions in buckets on the way out. James sang a large number of songs which have never seen the light of day: 'Friends' was in the vein of 'Living on the Rocks'. Some of the songs might have appeared on an album on London Records if 'Don't Look Back' had been successful."

Recorded Jan-Oct 1985 at Sonet Studio, London. James Warren: lead and backing vocals, electric and accoustic guitar, bass guitar. Nick magnus: keyboards, real and synthesized percussion, synthesizer programming. Produced by James Warren (except Burning Questions, True Life Confessions & It Won't Be the Same Old Place produced by Andy davis and James Warren). In the liner notes in the CD it says: "Glenn Tommey, James Warren - overdubbed extra percussion and guitars, September 2006." I do not know how many tracks they overdubbed, but this means that some or all tracks have been more or less changed compared to the originals. This does not mean, however, that they are worse! http://www.angelair.force9.co.uk/sjpcd217.htm

This bonus track was only included on the Japanese CD and on initial UK CD copies and is not even listed on the sleeve. This CD is now deleted, but there is a new coll CD with more tracks (see later entry). The Japanese CD with the same title has the original LP cover, and also includes lyrics.

(Mail order CD: Dap Records, DAP102CD)
Could only be purchased from the Official Stackridge Site. This is what Jennie Evans writes in the sleeve notes: "First produced in 1995 to amuse and entertain friends at Christmas, the enclosed collection of ditties creates an intimate portrait of James Warren in relaxed mode. It is, of course, singing in Bath, but singing in the bath also comes to mind. However, don't be deceived by the light-hearted presentation. There is more to it than that. Homage to some of the recent masters of popular song is part of the remit. Besides the obvious reverence for Messrs McCartney, Lennon and Wilson, watch out for Messrs Simon and Harrison lurking in the background. This is James at home. At the present time, home would not be complete without Clare and the twins, Beatrice and Arthur, born in December 1998, to whom this, the second pressing if Jim's Special Edition Easy Listening Christmas Album, is dedicated. Listen and enjoy." (April 1999)
