Moroder in New Musical Express 9 Dec 1978: "In '70 I met Pete Bellotte and we began to write together. One of our first collaborations was a smash hit in England for Chicory Tip, 'Son Of My Father'. This was my first major hit, and since then Pete and I have worked almost always in English."

Johnny Jackson: "Pete was the guy with the money at the time. Moroder was the mix master. He later joined forces with Bellote when Neil Bogart of Casablanca records enjoyed his extended mix of 'Love to Love You Baby'."

Roger Easterby comments in CD booklet: 'As well as running a successful production company at that time I was still recognised as a top promotions man in the music business and Hansa's owners in Germany, Peter and Trudi Meisel had asked Eddie Levy who worked for ATV Music to contact me to see if I would be intersted in promoting the record for them when it was released. The minute I put Moroder's record on the turntable it smelled of a hit. It was so different to anything I had heard before. Not only was it very catchy but it had this unusual synthesiser sound that just got right inside your brain. I rang Eddie Levy right away. 'This is a hit record' I told him. Eddie Levy, Trudi, Peter and Giorgio forgave me - they did have the publishing rights! ... Enjoy the tracks on this CD and remember the days in the early 70's when the pop world was still experimenting with new sounds and the charts were full of one-hit wonders. It was however Giorgio Moroder who went on to world-wide fame.' [end of quote] Thanks to Dan Magnusson for telling me about this CD and to Colin Linskey for sending me the quote from the booklet.
