  8. Stiff Necked Fools 3.25
  9. I Know 3.21
  10. Rastaman Live Up! 5.26 (LP: Island/Tuff Gong, ILPS 9760)
I read somewhere many years ago about the origins of the tracks, and this may or may not be true, but I'm putting it here nevertheless: Chant Down Babylon "was concocted in a Sheraton hotel room in Brussels during the 1979 Survival tour. Seated on his bed, Bob began jamming on guitar with Earl Lindo on percussion, and at that juncture the song was called I Believe in Reggae Music. It was eventually recorded during the 1979-80 sessions for Uprising". Jump Nyabinghi & Mix Up, Mix Up are taken from a 2 channel demo. Give Thanks & Praises was written (and possibly also recorded) about the same time as Rastaman Vibration LP (1976). Blackman Redemption "was a song Bob recorded upon returning to Jamaica for the Peace concert in 1978". It was released as a single in Jamaica (1979?). Trench Town "a 1980 tribute to Bob's deys inna yard". Stiff Necked Fools "is an outtake from the 1976 Rastaman Vibration sessions". I Know "is an outtake from the 1976 Rastaman Vibration sessions. At the time it was considered one of Bob's first "disco-tyle" efforts ("Exodus" being a later example), but he was never satisfied with the mix, particularly Family Man's rippling tambourine, which lent the track its crucial sense of velocity. During his treatment in Germany, Bob impulsively telephoned Family Man in Kingston and told him to remix "I Know" and see that Tuff Gong released it as a twelve-inch dance single. Family Man did so, and it found favor in Jamaica and England in both twelve-inch and seven-inch formats". It was released as a single in Jamaica (1981?). Rastaman Live Up! was released on a 7" single in Jamaica only (1978?) with Don't Give Up by The Wailers on the B-side.
